  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adds flavor to the dish.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add sliced kielbasa and cook until browned, stirring occasionally.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine diced potatoes, kielbasa, onions, heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well-coated.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Top generously with shredded cheese.
  7. Bake for 45-60 minutes, until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Add a pinch of smoked paprika to the heavy cream for extra flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze for 2 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F until warmed through.
