  • 1 cup Tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream Can substitute with coconut cream for a dairy-free option.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Be careful not to overcook.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cup Fresh basil, chopped For garnishing.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the gnocchi according to package instructions. They are ready when they float to the surface.
  2. In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Pour in the tomato sauce and bring it to a simmer.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and cook for a few minutes until the sauce becomes creamy.
  5. Gently mix in the cooked gnocchi, stirring well to coat.
  6. Add grated Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Top with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

This recipe pairs wonderfully with a simple side salad or crusty bread. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, and reheat over medium heat adding a splash of water or cream.
