  • 3/4 cup warm water Water should be warm, not hot.
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk Dairy-free alternatives can be used.
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted Real butter adds richness.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg Can be replaced with flaxseed meal for a vegan version.
  • 3 to 4 cups all-purpose flour Adjust depending on dough stickiness.

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water, stirring gently. Allow it to sit for five minutes until bubbly.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, salt, and egg. Then, add the yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually incorporate the flour, one cup at a time, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about five minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 10 minutes.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) while the dough is rising.
  2. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a greased baking sheet.
  3. Let the rolls sit for another 10 minutes before baking.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown. Enjoy the aroma while baking!

Notes

Store leftover rolls in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days or freeze them for longest shelf life.
