  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon chili paste (optional) Add for spice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 each green onion, sliced For garnish
  • to taste vegetables of choice (e.g., bell peppers, broccoli, carrots) Fresh vegetables enhance flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the ramen noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a pan, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and ginger; sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add your choice of vegetables and cook until tender, stirring occasionally.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and chili paste. Pour over the cooked vegetables.
  5. Add the cooked ramen noodles to the pan and toss until evenly coated with the sauce.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of water or broth to maintain texture.
