Ingredients

Dough Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Opt for high-quality flour for best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons) Ensure yeast is fresh and active.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup warm milk Not hot, to activate yeast properly.
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Garlic Butter
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, minced Using fresh garlic for the best flavor.
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Method

Preparation
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast on top and allow it to sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes foamy.
  2. Add the melted butter and salt to the yeast mixture. Gradually mix in the flour until a soft dough begins to form.
  3. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean towel, and let it rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). After the dough has risen, punch it down gently to release the air.
  2. Divide the dough into small balls, about the size of a golf ball, and place them in a greased baking dish, ensuring they’re close but not touching.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with minced garlic. Brush this garlic butter generously over the rolls.
  4. Place the rolls in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Brush with more garlic butter right before serving and sprinkle with chopped parsley.

Notes

Store leftover rolls in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in a warm oven.
