Ingredients
  

Basic Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Red wine vinegar (or white wine vinegar)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard Helps emulsify the dressing
  • 1 pinch Salt To taste
  • 1 few twists Black pepper To taste
Optional Ingredients
  • 1 small clove Garlic (finely grated or smashed) Optional, for added flavor
  • 1/4 teaspoon Honey or maple syrup Optional, to balance acidity

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the vinegar, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper (and garlic if using). Whisk for a few seconds.
  2. Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while whisking until the dressing is cohesive and slightly creamy.
Jar Method
  1. Add all ingredients to a small jar with a tight lid.
  2. Shake vigorously for 15 to 20 seconds until well mixed.

Notes

Always taste the vinaigrette before serving and adjust seasonings as needed. Keep in the fridge for 5 to 7 days, especially if using only oil, vinegar, mustard, and spices.
